

Rice Pudding
Table & Kin is all about championing the very best and this dish is all about the milk! This oven-baked pudding recipe exudes a creamy, comforting essence reminiscent of an old-fashioned favorite. The method is straightforward, making it an effortless snack or dessert option, especially suited for chilly afternoons. The combination of ingredients is harmonised by the use of the freshest Vine Dairy milk, ensuring a smiles all round for those lucky enough to get a bowl.
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
- 75g butter
- 900ml Vine Milk
- 1 TBSP of sugar
- 1/2 tsp Freshly ground nutmeg (optional)

Method
- 1. Prepare a well-greased ovenproof dish with a capacity of 1.6 liters (2¾ pints). Preheat your oven to 160°C/140°C fan/Gas 3.
- 2. Empty the rice into the prepared dish. In a saucepan (refer to the tip), warm the milk and pour it over the rice. Add the sugar and stir well to combine.
- 3. Place the dish in the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes. After that, gently stir the rice and, if desired, sprinkle a light layer of nutmeg on top. Continue baking for an additional 1¼–1½ hours until a golden crust forms on the surface and the rice becomes soft and tender underneath. Serve the dish hot.
